WHO THIS POLICY IS FOR

House of April operates a small number of Instagram accounts it owns. To schedule and publish its own posts, House of April uses a private software application registered with Meta, called April Content Publisher.

This policy explains what that application does with data, and what this website does with data.

The application is private and internal. It is not offered to the public, it has no sign-up, and it does not manage Instagram accounts belonging to anyone else. The only person who uses it is the operator of House of April.

WHAT THE APPLICATION ACCESSES

When the operator connects one of House of April's own Instagram accounts to the application, Meta provides the application with: the Instagram account's user ID, username, and account type; an access token that allows the application to publish on behalf of that account; the account's current publishing quota; and media and captions that the operator chooses to publish, along with the identifiers of posts created that way.

The application requests only two permissions: instagram_business_basic, to confirm which account it is connected to, and instagram_business_content_publish, to publish posts to that account.

WHAT THE APPLICATION DOES NOT ACCESS

The application does not collect, request, store, or process data belonging to any Instagram account not owned by House of April; follower lists, direct messages, or comments; personal information about the people who follow or interact with these accounts; or payment information of any kind.

HOW THE DATA IS USED

Solely to publish House of April's own content to House of April's own Instagram accounts. Nothing else.

The data is not sold, rented, licensed, shared with advertisers, used to build profiles of any individual, used for advertising or ad targeting, or transferred to any third party except Meta, which necessarily receives the content in order to publish it.

HOW THE DATA IS STORED AND FOR HOW LONG

Access tokens are stored privately on hardware controlled by the operator, are not transmitted to any third party, and are refreshed or discarded as they expire. Records of posts published are kept only as long as they are operationally useful. There is no user database, because the application has no users other than the operator.

REVOKING ACCESS AND DELETING DATA

Access can be revoked at any time, and revoking it immediately stops the application from publishing.

To revoke access from Instagram: open the Instagram account, go to Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites, and remove April Content Publisher.

To request deletion of any data held: email mfpwnage@yahoo.com with the subject "Data deletion request". Any data covered by this policy and still held will be deleted within 30 days, and you will receive written confirmation.
